Examination of the Relationship Between The Perception of Social Loafing and Job Satisfaction in terms of Hotel Managements

Abstract
In this research, the effect and relationship of the social loafing behavior perceptions of the accommodation sector employees on job satisfaction was tried to be examined within the framework of the questionnaire questions applied to the sample selected among the accommodation sector workers selected for the research. The main purpose of the research is to determine whether the social loafing behavior seen in employees has a relationship and interaction with their job satisfaction due to the nature of the service provided in the accommodation sector, and because it requires close to people and group work. Other purposes of the study are to help understand the importance of improving and corrective practices that increase employee productivity, performance and motivation; at the same time, it is to shed light on the development of awareness on this issue. The universe and sample of the research; a total of 384 randomly selected hotel employees working in 57 accommodation establishments with 4 and 5 stars operating in the province of Ankara. In order to test the hypotheses, the answers of the questionnaire forms applied in the research were evaluated; the data obtained from the questionnaire forms were analyzed using the SPSS 20 package statistics program; frequency and percentage distribution tables were examined and parametric tests were used in data analysis; simple regression and correlation analysis were conducted to determine the effect and relationship of participants' perceptions of social loafing behavior on job satisfaction. In order to better see the findings, the results of the analysis were tabulated and interpreted in line with the purpose of the research. In the analyzes made according to the results of the research, it was determined that there is a negative significant relationship and interaction between social loafing behavior and job satisfaction. Accordingly, it has been observed that the existence of social loafing behaviors in the working system in the organization affects the job satisfaction of the employees negatively. In the discussion part of the research, attention is drawn to the importance of organizational management taking into account the negative effects of social loafing behavior on job satisfaction and to act in this direction, and the necessity of developing strategic approaches to prevent social loafing behavior that negatively affects employee job satisfaction.
